Facts About Miley Cyrus

Miley was born left-handed, but dad Billy Ray taught her to use her right hand. As a result, she's joked that if people can't read her autographs that she signs with her right hand, they should complain to her father.

Did you know Miley suffers from tachycardia, a non-life-threatening heart condition? It causes her resting heart rate to excel more rapidly than normal.

When fans would throw flowers and other gifts on stage during dad Billy Ray's performances, young Miley would collect them, then donate them to local hospitals.

Before earning the title role in "Hannah Montana," Miley had initially sent in a tape to be considered for the main character's best friend Lilly. She was originally turned down for both roles until eventually she landed the lead role.

Did you know Miley rises early every morning to read the Bible at 5 a.m.

Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, she was such a happy baby that family members called her Smiley, a nickname that was eventually amended to Miley.

Miley will show off her brand-new street-fighting skills in "So Undercover," one of two movies she's starring in that are scheduled for release this year.

Cyrus blames a Tweet she sent in support of gay marriage for loads of subsequent hate mail, an event that caused her to shut down her Twitter account in late 2009 despite her audience of 2 million followers.
